Notice of Public Hearing
The Jefferson Township Zoning Commission, Logan County, OH, will hold a continued public hearing concerning proposed amendments to the Jefferson Township Zoning Resolution on July 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Tri-Valley Joint Fire District station. The building address is 2568 Sandusky St., Zanesfield, OH 43360.
The proposed amendments, initiated by motion of the Zoning Commission, propose to amend Article II Definitions by adding the definitions of “Small Off Site Battery Energy Storage System” and “Data Center”, and amending the definition of “Public Service Facility”. It also proposes to amend Article V Administration by changing public notice requirements, amend Article VI Amendments by changing public notice requirements and general procedures, amends Section 900 Compliance With Regulations by clarifying prohibited uses, amends Section 1005 Parking and Storage of Certain Vehicles by changing public notice requirements, and amends Section 1055 Abatement, control, or removal of vegetation, garbage, refuse, and other debris by changing public notice requirements. Additionally, the amendment adjusts permitted and conditional uses in the Official Schedule of District Regulations.
The text and map(s) of the proposed amendment will be available for examination at the Zanesfield Post Office lobby during normal business hours for a period of 10 days prior to the public hearing. The building address is 2856 Sandusky Street, Zanesfield, Ohio 43360.
After the conclusion of such hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Jefferson Township Board of Trustees for its action.
